- Each session is carefully planned using research-based Orton-Gillingham strategies and materials that are personalized to meet the specific needs of each unique learner.
- A typical session involves direct instruction based on sequential and developmentally appropriate skills and/or strategies that the learner may be missing in their learning structure.
- At the conclusion of each session, your child's progress is monitored and charted in a shared document that both the practitioner and the parent may access at any time so that there is open communication about needs and progress.
Foundational Reading Instruction
Learning to read can be very challenging for some learners. Foundational skills must be taught in a systematic and cumulative manor in order for readers to develop the firm foundation that we desire for each young child to have.
Deeper Reading Instruction
A fluent reader that struggles with comprehension may need vocabulary and working memory instruction as well as strategies for retaining and recalling information.
Academic Coaching
Some learners simply needs extra support with organization, study strategies, and the execution of "doing" school. This type of support is often for older students working through middle and high school materials.
